Procedure

Growth

1. First gather materials.

2. Next place the hydra sample in the culture dish.

3. Then add the water sample of pH 6.0, 7.0, and 8.0 to each culture dish.

4. Record the growth over a period of time of three days.

5. Repeat the steps and run 2 trials of each type of water.

6. Last record the last of the data and form a data table and chart to see if the hypothesis was correct.

Regeneration

1. Repeat steps 1-3 for the growth procedure

2. Hydra samples will be split in half and each half will be placed in a culture dish with pH 6.0,pH 7.0, and pH 8.0.

3. One grafted sample of hydra will be placed in a culture dish, with pH 6.0, pH 7.0, and pH 8.0 water level in it.

4. Record over a period of three days how long it takes to regenerate in each type of water.

5. Repeat the steps and run 2 trials in each type of water.
