Stone Middle School Technology Leader
Named to International Educational Technology Think Tank

Austin, TX (February 28, 2013) — The New Media Consortium (NMC), an international consortium of learning-focused organizations, has selected 22 K-12 education professionals for its new NMC K-12 Ambassador Program. The Ambassadors range from district CIOs to teachers to directors of technology and many other roles in between.
Launched in January 2013, the NMC K-12 Ambassador Program is a global search for K-12 education professionals who are committed to using innovative approaches to teaching and learning in their K- 12 classrooms. Distinguished as NMC Ambassadors, the selected individuals earned a one-year NMC membership as well as an influential place within the NMC community.
The selected ambassadors will serve as knowledgeable members of NMC Horizon Project K-12 Advisory Boards in the discussions that lead to future K-12 editions of the
NMC Horizon Report series, be the experts in their field in the NMC Commons, and gain recognition among an international body of colleagues as innovative educators. Each individual earned the position of NMC K-12 Ambassador by submitting a video application that described the innovation that was taking place at their school(s) and their ties to the NMC Horizon Project research. The videos from all of the Ambassadors can be viewed on a special playlist on the official NMC YouTube channel. The New Media Consortium (NMC) is an international not-for-profit consortium of learning-focused organizations dedicated to the exploration and use of new media and new technologies.
For 20 years, the NMC and its members have dedicated themselves to exploring and developing potential applications of emerging technologies for learning, research, and creative inquiry. For more information on the NMC, visit
