Florida Orchestra Association Solo and Ensemble Festival. Stone sent two
ensembles and five Soloists. They played for a judge who gave them a rating on a scale from Superior (I) to Poor (V). All of the orchestra students who represented Stone were very well prepared.

Both of these events are very competitive - to enter the Science Challenge, students must be 1st place winners at a regional science fair in Central Florida and to present at the Florida Junior Academy of Sciences Conference, students are selected based on their written research from state-wide applicants.
