Congratulations to the STONE ROBO GOPHERS!!!!!

On Saturday, January 8th, the Stone Robo Gophers competed in the Saturn FLL State Regional Qualifying Tournament at Saturn Elementary School in Cocoa!

The
Stone Robo Gophers did a great job and won second place for the Core Values Award. This award is for Inspiration, Teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism. It celebrates a team that is empowered by their FLL experience and displays extraordinary spirit and enthusiasm. They are able to accomplish more together than they could as individuals through effective problem solving, strong communication, shared goals, and excellent time management. They also, show other teams and each other respect at all times. They recognize that both friendly competition and mutual gain are possible, on and off the playing field.

Also, the Stone Robo Gophers are on their way to regionals!

They won a
bid to the Florida State FIRST LEGO League Regional Championship, that will be held February 5, 2011. They are one of 96 teams that will earn its way to the Florida Regional Competitions. This is a great accomplishment as there are 350 FLL teams in Florida this year!!!
